Bump It Up - 22 Weeks

How far along: 22 weeks

Gender: Boy.

Weight gain: 16 lbs? I don't really know and this is just  guess.

Maternity clothes: No, and it is now getting ridiculous.

Stretch marks: I don't think so. Maybe one on my side.

Belly button in or out: In - Barely

Work Outs: One

Sleep: Sleep is becoming harder and harder to come by these days. I'm finding that I finally feel pretty uncomfortable if I try to sleep on my back.

Best moment this week: When Brandon felt our little guy kick for the first time! It was amazing.

Worst moment this week: Lack of sleep.

Miss anything: Sushi, margaritas, and beer.

Movement: Yes! This is just the best feeling. I can feel when he situates himself on different sides of my uterus.

Cravings: Nutella toast!

Queasy or sick: Nope. Feeling really good.

Nursery: Just looking at rugs and curtains now.

Looking forward to: Meeting our little boy. It's been weighing on my mind a lot lately, and I am excited to meet my son. But not too soon! I want him to cook for quite a bit longer.

Bump It Up - 20 Weeks

How far along: 20 weeks

Gender: Boy. Boy. Boy!

Weight gain: 13 lbs. I may have eaten a few too many Easter candies these last two weeks.

Maternity clothes: No, but I'm in pretty desperate need of some maternity clothing. Especially work clothing.

Stretch marks: No, but my belly has started to itch like the dickens.

Belly button in or out: In

Work Outs: Zero. My lazy bum needs to get on the bike!

Sleep: I'm doing ok in the sleep department, but my hips usually hurt when I wake up.

Best moment this week: Seeing our little guy on the ultrasound screen. It was amazing getting to see all his parts, and that they were forming as they are supposed to.

Worst moment this week: Having Brandon head out of town for work.

Miss anything: Sushi!

Movement: Yes! This little guy has been kicking and punching up a storm. I've even felt him from the outside. Now if we could just get Brandon to feel him.

Cravings: I've got a crazy sweet tooth now.

Queasy or sick: Nope. Feeling really good.

Nursery: We've finally started on the nursery! We painted it this last week, and I'll post pictures later this week of the before and afters. I'm so excited to starting putting together our little dudes room.

Looking forward to: Brandon feeling our little boy kick! I know he can be felt from the outside, but his movements are so irregular that it has to be timed just right.

Stretch marks: No, but my belly has started to itch like the dickens.

Belly button in or out: In

Work Outs: Zero. Still fending off that cold.

Sleep: I am so sore when I wake up. Ouch.

Best moment this week: Feeling strong movement.

Worst moment this week: Being sick.

Miss anything: Beer on the patio.

Movement: Yes! Some strong random kicks.

Cravings: None

Queasy or sick: This whole week I've just felt crappy.

Looking forward to: Feeling him move all the time!

I Just Want to Remember

Brandon and me at a castle in Scotland.

I'm not very big yet, but I already have trouble sleeping. I get very uncomfortable and toss and turn a lot at night now. Well last night was no different, and as I was rolling around I managed to completely uncover and wake myself up. Next thing I know I feel the covers being gently pulled up around me. I had apparently woken Brandon up too and he was just tucking me back in. When I asked him about it this morning he couldn't remember a thing. I can't get over how sweet this husband of mine is.

It seemed fitting to post this right now since it's Valentines day. I always want to remember how in love I feel as we are waiting to welcome our little boy into the world. I know that a lot will change over the coming months, but I always want to prioritize my husband. I want to cover him with love and prayer. Happy Valentines lovie.

Bump It Up - 17 Weeks

How far along: 17 weeks

Gender: Boy.

Weight gain: 8 lbs. I was up 7 lbs last Friday, so I hope it's not 8 lbs, but I'm sure it's right around that.

Maternity clothes: I'm still wearing all regular clothing, but only 2 pairs of really stretchy jeans will still button. Otherwise I'm using long camisoles to cover up my unbuttoned pants. All my shirts still fit well enough though.

Stretch marks: No, but my belly has started to itch like the dickens.

Belly button in or out: In

Work Outs: Only one this week, but I've been fighting off a little cold.

Sleep: Not bad, but I hate that I wake up every time I have to roll over.

Best moment this week: Hearing and feeling our little guy kick at our appointment. We even got it on video!

Worst moment this week: Being sick. I'm not running fever, but my nose is like a leaky faucet over here. I really just want to go back to bed.

Miss anything: I'm going to stick with the hot summer weather.

Movement: Yes! I felt his kick when he kicked the doppler for sure, and I've felt him several times since. It is awesome, but very sporadic. I can't wait to feel regular movements.

Cravings: Thai yellow curry with chicken, potatoes, and onion. Served with rice of course.

Queasy or sick: I've had a few random bouts of nausea in the last week.

Looking forward to: Feeling him move all the time!

Bump It Up - 16 Weeks

How far along: 16 weeks

Gender: Boy.

Weight gain: 6-7 lbs. This is a guess and I will find out what my actual weight gain is on Friday.

Maternity clothes: Still in regular clothing, but I need to buy some belly bands for my pants now. I also think I may want to seriously start looking for maternity clothing.

Stretch marks: No

Belly button in or out: In

Work Outs: Three so far this week! But I've also been eating pretty poorly this week as well. So goal for next week is three work outs and healthy eating.

Sleep: Not too shabby.

Best moment this week: Potentially feeling our little boy move while laying in bed with Brandon.

Worst moment this week: Sore body parts from sitting in uncomfortable chairs at a conference for work.

Miss anything: The hot summer weather.

Movement: Maybe. I think I've felt our little guy move a couple of times while laying still in bed. It's really hard to tell if it is actually baby moving though.

Cravings: Nothing this week. I think this is because I've had such and indulgent week.

Queasy or sick: I've got a sore back, but that is about it.

Looking forward to: Our doctors appointment. I hope we get to see our little guy again!

Bump It Up - 15 Weeks

How far along: 15 weeks

Gender: Boy. I sometimes freak out thinking that they got it wrong during the blood test, and will tell us that we are actually having a little girl at our March anatomy scan.

Weight gain: 5 lbs. This is a guess because I figured out that we shouldn't be moving the scale around the bathroom or it will read different weights.

Maternity clothes: Not yet. But certain pants are starting to get uncomfortable.

Stretch marks: No

Belly button in or out: In

Work Outs: Zilch. I need to get my booty on the bike.

Sleep: I feel like it was bad because I had one bad night, but overall I slept pretty soundly. The most disturbing thing about sleep now is dragging my pillows around the bed when I move. I have given a whole new meaning to pillow fort.

Best moment this week: Getting pretty settled on a name and starting to use it when talking about the boy. Also getting access to Netflix thanks to my awesome in-laws.

Worst moment this week: Waking up after the company BBQ and feeling like I smoked a pack of cigarettes. Bleh. I think I still smell like a camp fire.

Miss anything: Tuna sashimi, beer, and the sun.

Movement: Nada. I'm not sure when to start expecting this because I'm a pretty petite lady and I've heard that I may feel it sooner rather than later. I'm so excited to feel this little toot move!

Cravings: Sandwiches and banana flavored Sno Cones. Especially with a little drizzle of cream on top.

Queasy or sick: Just a few dizzy spells, and now some itchy skin. I think this might be because of the terrible, awful, no good weather though.

Looking forward to: Sunshine! I can't stand this time between Christmas and spring. I hate the cold and miss the warm sunshine weather.
